About Author
Welcome to my corner of the web where creativity meets purpose and everyday is an opportunity to serve, learn and connect.
My name is Vicki Elaine Ursin and I’m a retired Human Resources Professional. I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Master’s Degree in Communications Training and Development from Lindenwood University. I’ve been married to Dwayne Ursin for 15 years and we have 2 loving children whom we adore. I’m a certified life coach and the owner of Inspiring2Win Consulting Group, LLC. I’m a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. St. Louis Alumnae Chapter as well as a Chartering member of Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. Eta Gamma Chapter in which I serve as the Correspondence Secretary and Membership Intake Committee Chair. More importantly, I’m a child of God who loves to serve and share the good news of Jesus Christ. I’m honored to serve as the lead coordinator for the Project SHINE Outreach Initiative in which we do random acts of kindness throughout our neighboring communities. In addition, I serve on the following ministries: Marriage Ministry, Women’s Ministry, Greeters Ministry, Deacon’s Wives and Prince of Peace National Recording Choir.
I’m a 2-year Triple Negative Breast Cancer Survivor and I’m an advanced heart failure patient who requires a life sustaining device to stay alive. Although my health challenges have disabled me physically, they did not destroy my spirit. The bible says, “we are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed, we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted but not forsaken; struck down but not destroyed. So, despite my trials and tribulations, I still believe. I’m a living witness that God is still working miracles. My condition is not my conclusion.

Special Thanks
To my husband Dwayne Ursin for encouraging me to pursue my dreams despite my limitations and for being so supportive throughout the writing process. Thank you for believing in me baby.
Additionally, I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to my friend Gloria and my niece’s Jaazel, Vanity and LaSha for continuously encouraging me and holding me accountable. Especially, for all the times I needed a listening ear, writing suggestions and pep talks.
A huge thank you to my writing coach, spiritual advisor and publisher, Pastor Leandre Green. I could not have made it through this project without your guidance. Thank you for sharing your gift with me and for pouring into me. I love and appreciate you.
